Q) What is the Driver Improvement Course?
A) Keith's Driving School offers the driver improvement course that is approved by the Virginia DMV. This course removes 5 bad points from YOUR driving record.


Q) What does the Virginia DMV require for the Driver Improvement Course?
A) The course is an 8 hour class with a lunch break.  It is held ever Saturday and Virginia DMV requires a multiple choice quiz be taken at the end. After you successfully complete the quiz, you will receive your Certificate of Completion.


Q) Why should I take the Driver Improvement Course?
A) The course can give you up to five (+5) safe driving points for completing the DMV approved course. Some insurance companies offer policy holders a discount on their auto insurance for successfully completing the driver improvement course.  

Drivers and motorcyclists can take this course for various reasons including:
The DMV or a Court has required it
To receive a discount on auto insurance
Safe driving refresher course
To receive up to +5 safe driving points on your DMV driving record


Q) Does the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV),  approve Keith's Driving Schools Five Point Reduction Driver Improvement Program?
A) Yes.  Keith's Driving School has a five point reduction driver improvement course approved by the State of Virginia.


Q) Do I have to notify the Department of Motor Vehicles after completing the course?
A)  After successfully completing, Keith's Driving School will notify the DMV.  If the student taking the course has a completion deadline, it is recommended that they take their Certificate of Completion to a DMV location.  This ensures their DMV record is updated at that time.   


Q) When can I Start?
A) The Five Point Reduction Driver Improvement Program is held every Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.


Q) If I have been ordered by the court to take a Driver Improvement Course, can I take the course that Keith's Driving School offers?
A) Yes.  Keith's Driving school is approved by all Virginia Courts.


Q) Is there an age requirement to take this course in Virginia?
A) Any licensed driver can take the Driver Improvement Course.
